How to Create a Book Trailer

I’m launching Bailey Beats the Blah book Trailer to the world!!

If you think …Creating your own book trailer is TOO Hard! Think again! If I can do it… anybody can!

A book trailer can be: acted out, in full production, flash video or animations.  Or like mine, created using photos set to audio narration, sound effects, visual effects, transitions and music.

Today I launch Bailey Beats the Blah picture book trailer to the world. I created my own book trailer to help kids who suffer from anxiety and depression.

To empower kids with coping skills to fight sad days and worry thoughts, building self-esteem.

Book trailers are the fastest growing, powerful trend in promoting books via the Internet. AND the cheapest, easiest way to reach your target audience and generate sales via video-sharing sites, websites, blogs, social networking sites and book related sites.

#7 Sizzling Secrets to Create a Book Trailer

1.    Watch book trailers on You Tube to learn different trailer styles and techniques, concentrating on your genre and theme … How much do you want to spend?

2.    Decide on what software you will use to create your book trailer…Windows Movie Maker, DVD Slideshows GUI, PhotoStory, Stupeflix, PhotoShow or Adobe Premier Elements #12 like me. Read the instructions,  play with it, practice it … Now you’re ready to start!

3.     Write the script of your book trailer, creating the MOST intriguing  message you can.

4.    Decide on what images you’ll  Download from royalty free stock images: Try Dreamstime, Fotolia, Microsoft OfficePhotobucket, ,Clker, Morgue File, Shutterstockm and Wikimedia Commons …  Save them to your pictures folder on your Hard Drive.

5.    Add visual effects and page transitions you want to use from the movie maker program

6.    Add music and sound…Make sure the music you choose is not copyrighted. Check out: Soundsnap, Find Sounds, Partners in Rhyme, Brainy Betty, Open Music Archive, Opsound, ccMixter, Neo Sounds …Save these to your music folder.

7.    Promote to wide range of distribution channels. Upload on your own website,  blog, video sharing sites, social networking sites, and even in your email signature … Set a goal to submit your trailer to at least one distribution outlet a day: YouTube, Daily Motion, Revver, Veoh, MySpaceTV, Godtube, MetaCafe, Yahoo Video, Google Video Book Trailers, Digg, AuthorsDen, TubeMogul … Don’t forget to add the link where readers can buy your book . Add VIP tags.

Congratulations in following the above steps to create your own book trailer.
You now have a toolbox to create your own, saving yourself anywhere from $200 to thousands of dollars.
